How Do I Remove This?

This was the first piece of coral I added to my tank 2 years ago. I thought, 'if I kill this I'm doomed' ... 2 years later I want it out lol I just hate how the small ones let go and attach on other rock work.

Thankfully it's on its own "island" right now, but I want it out of my tank. If I remove the rock how do I take all of them off as they are going to retract.
