Well I wanna be able to lower my nitrates to starve GHA and also heal my LPS they are very unhappy with nitrates but I wanna keep nitrates in the 15 range because of softies and 4 nems.

Again, you can't starve hair algae while also growing corals because zooxanthellae = algae.

Scrub it off, then get a bunch of turbo snails. If that doesn't work, then fluconazole. Alternatively, a sea hare will eat it all.

I had fluanzacole kill fish. I have some Flux RX but dont wanna use it. Im getting an urchin turbo snails and hopefully a sea hare eventually.

I doubt the fluconazole killed the fish. It was probably something else. Urchins ignore hair algae ime and just eat coralline. Why not get a sea hare?

I guess ill have to buy a skimmer. Cant do anything else. Fuge will just starve my corals beggining to give up. Ill buy a electric toothbrush and new CUC

cause im 14 parents hate my hobby dont support it and complain everytime i ask to order something. Im losing my coral beauty to something random all other fish fine. Hammer is partially closed due to high nitrates. I heard urchins tear through it. And should I dose rx again? @Spare time are there any other ways to get nitrates down with water changes?

My issue is nitrates. Just wondering how to kill algae easily cause manual removal is really hard and does nothing. Getting a bag of turbo snails about 10 and 10 emerald crabs soon as well as a tux urchin sea hare if nothing works. And an icecap k-50hob

How old is your sand bed?

My suggestion is that you go slow and try solutions one at a time so that you can identify what actually works. IME throwing the kitchen sink at issues in our hobby often leads to more issues than you started with.

Just some information about what I do. My nitrates go up all the time. I have a 3.5-inch sand bed, and my tank has been running for 15 years with 3.5-inch sand bed. I have to replace my sand bed every 4 - 5 years due to My nitrates go over 75.00 ppm and just water changes won't work. I install a filter sock, move all the fish and inverts to another tank remove the rocks and set in clean saltwater tubs shaking them to remove debris. Then remove all the sand I can. Install new rinsed sand install rocks let settle for a few hours do a 30 % water change and move fish and inverts back. I am not saying this will fix your problem, but it works for me after all is done my nitrates are very low and can be maintained with simple water changes again. It's a lot of work but I have learned I just have it to do every 4-5 years
