I have a 29 gal Nano and I love the rimless tanks but I would like to expand....I have no clue as to how to do this. Also, is there any tried and true way to get rid of aiptasia?? I have been fighting this battle for a long time. I bought two peppermint shrimp on Saturday and one of them is now a skeleton because someone ate him. I was so upset because I should have researched it a little more. HELP!! I dont want to inhabit my new tank with an outbreak of aiptasia.

I use Joes Juice or aiptasia X. Works pretty fast, but I haven't had an out break. You have to get it right in the "mouth" of each one.

Good luck

Are you sure that skeleton your seeing is not a molt? They'll do this from time to time.
As far as the Aiptasia go, if you can easily remove the rocks there on you could just burn them off with a cigarette lighter. This only takes a few seconds to do. GL.

I use a syringe and white vinegar, and inject the aiptasia. Seems very effective, and the vinegar does not adversely affect anything. The syringe I use is a standard diabetic type syringe.

Well gee....I'm NOT sure if this is a molt. The shell was completely empty, it looked as if it was sucked out of the shell. Hmmmm....I'll keep my eye out. I cant take the rocks out because of the coral, right? I have coral on almost all of my live rock.

I've tried Aiptasia X but I keep finding babies all over the tank.

Put some food in the tank, he'll come out to eat in a day or two. I'm betting it was a molt. Gets me every time too.
