how do i take GHL doser off client mode for hotspot use?

I connected the doser via USB but i cant access it through the app. The doser came out of the box unable to hotspot and a rep told me its in client mode... How do i take it out of client mode so i can use the hotspot?

Here a good video once you get connected via USB how to set it up and have it join your network:

You need to download the GCC Desktop software here also:

Also here on Page 15 in the manual which specially states client mode also

Do you know how long it sat on the shelf with the vendor before you bought it? We may need to do a firmware upgrade also and can step you through that also.

Got it connected via USB

and gcc is downloaded! All is ready to go

and it was an order from ghl through a store which took 2months to get to me

If that is the case make sure you update the firmware also

Firmware is at V1.28 and when I update it, it seems like it goes smoothly but ends up not updating...

@Ditto so I tried to update and the software closed out halfway through and my doser is off without any light

Edit: unplugged and plugged it back and it's back online but still at v1.28. Unable to update

@PegasisR - When you launched the GCC Desktop Software and connect via USB and launch the Desktop App while connected via USB to your doser, does it say when you first connect on the general tab firmware up to date or does it say New Firmware Available?

And you downloaded the version of GCC desktop software above correct?

You can also if you wish, if the upgrade does not work we have another way to do the upgrade.

Were you able to setup the up address and also connect it to your home network?

Nope, havent connected it to the home network. I attempted to and saw all the videos but havent been able to....

Having just set up my P4, I think you connect to the doser with your PC, open GCC, connect your doser, go to system on the left hand side and under system you will see communication and there you have to select the type of communication you want to have as the default with your device.

I have done that

but still am not able to hotspot connect
