How do I upload a picture off my phone?

I need help uploading a picture !

I’m new at this, but for me when I click ‘upload a file’ it takes me to my phone’s pictures so I can upload them. I just started yesterday so I still haven’t figured out how to write text, add a pic, then add more text after. All my pics appear at the end of the thread

I'm sure there's a much more straightforward way, but I email them to myself and then upload them to the site from my PC using the Image button.
Which is actually fine since I always want to keep them on the PC as well anyway.

I turn my phone horizontal and the full size page pops up, it I phone 8 in safari
