Ok I walked into one of two LFS's I go to and I wasn't expecting much when I walked in but it was acroporia heaven.

sorry for the blue lights I forgot to take a pic after the guy turned the regular lights on. And the LFS just got the shipment on Sunday and they guy working said that the new guy accidentally forgot to turn the lights off and they were on for 2 days so unfortunately some of them were bleached :/ but I did but two pieces and one of them looks great and that's this one.

. But I'm wondering how this one looks to you guys

my phone isn't really picking up on the tint of green towards the base and the pink towards the top. I believe that it could be recovering some color but I'd like other opinions as well

SPS can lose color very quickly but i wouldn't worry too much. Just need to have patience and the color will come back.. Just takes time. As long as you are getting some polyp extention it is still healthy

The one of them is starting to turn a little white, and it's doing it slowly. Is that bleaching??

Now you are going to have tell us a breakdown on your parameters and what lighting are you using? Sometimes it is normal to go a little white when going from tank to tank or even different lighting can cause that but it is best to know what all your parameters are

Is it the one in the 2nd pic? Looks maybe like a spathulata? Have seen these guys struggle many times in aquariums. Seem to be a harder sps to keep imo.

Yes it is the one in the second pic.

see its like white on the one part of it but the other parts of it have pretty good polyp extension tho

Frag those tips. Prolly your only chance at saving. Looks to be dying to me not bleaching. It will continue to spread on piece most likely and be total loss in a few days to a week.

How do I drag them????

check out a youtube video on sps fragging would be the best so you can get a visual. But its as easy as bone cutters a plug and some reef safe glue. snip off the living top areas above the death line. Than glue those living pieces to either a small piece of live rock, a plug, or something like that. good luck

Ok thank you very much I'll do it first thing in the morning

how long have you had the pieces?do you still see polyps on the white area?

I literally just got it. And no I don't see any polyps in the white area. But there's plenty of polyps in the non white area. And I wasn't able to frag it, it's too thick to just break off and I don't have a band saw

It wasn't like that when I first got it it actually looked pretty good when I got it. But even if I frag off the good parts it'll die??

i would try fragging.you can also try glueing the dead area to if it will stop.use gel glue

Sorry but that looks pretty far gone. The white creaping up from the base is a bad sign and the rest looks pretty dull. I'd snap each stock off and try to save the 2 that don't show white.

I tried to snap it off but it's way to thick

Ok so I have "successfully" fragged the tips off but since I did not have the proper tools and snapping them off did not work I had to use a saws-all :/ now for the part where I just hope that they make it

I gotta ask about your lights and parameters. What are you keeping this under? What is your calcium and alkalinity at? If your stores alk was really different than yours it could cause the coral bleaching like yours is. Do you know your phosphates and nitrates? Sps like really clean water and just looking at the algea on your rock I could guess you have some phosphates/nitrates in your tank. I'm not judging here, I'm just trying to help you along and to avoid future issues you may have with sps if you're not set up for it.
