So im getting ready to sell everything out of my frag tank.
I have a mix of everythijg from sps the chalices rics and zoas.
I really dont want anything to die bc im trying to make money to upgrade my tank.

I guess what I want to know is hows the best way to ship corals. From packing to heating to boxes...everything u can tell me

Thank yiu

I use a cardboard box, which I insulate using 3/4" foam insulation board, then double or triple bag the coral using 3mil bags or if it's a frag I use a urine specimen cup(preferably unused), then surround the coral with packing peanuts so it doesn't shift around during transit. I tape the box well and drop it off at the Fedex office right before last pickup(I do this so the coral is in the package for the least amount of time...hopefully 14hrs>. If it's really cold out I'll add a heat pack, but here in Fl it usually doesn't get that cold too often. Same thing with cool packs, but I use those a lot in the summer. I place the pack in the peanuts, but not directly on the bag or cup containing the coral.
Hops this helps!

Just be sure you don't use the biodegradable packing peanuts. Taping the hot or cold pack to the top of the box is usually a good idea. For a cold pack I would maybe put it into a ziploc or simalar bag to help keep condensation down etc. Also be sure to put all the bagged frags into a larger bag which will help insulate and keep leakage to next to zero.
