How do u support ur hobby?

I'm a Geographic Information Systems Manager for a county government. I map my local region so I can build my little piece of the reef in the Inland Nortwest.

Awesome. That's sounds sweet.

Field Lead for Electronic Technicians Oil and Gas in OH, WV, and PA. I used to have a 2 week on 1 week off schedule living out of a hotel. Now I am home every night so I can enjoy the hobby more.

Also everything is pretty automated since I was never home I really just get to enjoy it and only tinker a little bit.

Retired casino dealer here. Best job ever! I would meet so many very nice people.
I did this for 7 years before I started in the medical field. It got old quick for me. I think in part because of where I worked. I dealt and supervised Craps mostly

I am a Dispatcher for the biggest Equipment Rental company on the West Coast. Everything from jackhammers to 150' Booms and forklifts with 40,000lb lifting capacity. I run six semi's in Northern California, deliver everywhere from Los Banos up to Redding. Also do some Rental Coordinating for the construction companies themselves. I work around 60 hours a week on average.... fun fun fun.

We own a family business, we make bus seats. On my free time i get to work with machines on the shop to get a little extra, things like spec cutting in plasma and vacuum thermoforming prototypes for clients on the side

I’m the Chef for a breakfast restaurant. We close at 10am. With my past experience I do a lot of catering in the evenings when I feel like it my wife gets my pay checks any extra money I earn goes in my tank/tanks (upgrade coming soon).

Believe it or not, being a librarian doesn't exactly buy the corals (no, I don't read for a living), so it is primarily supplied off of my husband's income who works in the commercial construction business. Years and years ago, I worked for a fish distributor who gave me a 50% discount on everything. It was the only way I could afford a reef tank in my early twenties.

I'm a software developer.

In the beginning, I just budgeted $100-$250 a week to incrementally purchase the necessary equipment.

Once I had the equipment, I got more addicted to frags than crack. I had to implement a 10G frag qt tank to keep my purchases to a minimum. This effectively prevents me from purchasing more than 40 corals a month.

Saw this go by in a fb group... thought it would be interesting to see what everyone does to support our "addiction" considering how expensive it can be... and last time I checked, lfs doesnt take food stamps or ebt.

So post u what u do for work to make this all possible! I'll start it off!

Electronic test and assembly technician for a vast array of space systems support including the life support systems for the space suit and the space station.

Reeaaaady.... go!
Accountant chasing my CPA, but to start I sold/am selling all my freshwater gear!
