how do you add those nice borders/frames to pics?

Layer > Layer Style > Stroke and then pic either inside or outside.

Also an easier way is if you have the Layers Window open where you see all the layers then click the little round circle F button on the bottom left hand corner then go to stroke.

this is pretty bad, wish there were some more preset things to choose from.

Wow, the detail you're getting with that new camera is unreal!


i'm sure its making a little bit of a difference, as things are much more vivid.....but i've been able to get just as good shots with the XTi......but with the XTi it was more luck. and i was only able to do it on half a dozen pics that i can remember.

with the 40D, this live view thing helps in the macro photography tremendously as i can zoom in digitally on the LCD screen on a single polyp to see how in focus it is.

with the XTi......it was sort of a guessing game by looking through the view finder, and then getting the pic on the computer and cropping to see if i got perfect focus or not.
