How do you attach a nepthea frag?

Hi guys I got this nepthea frag from a friend and have been trying to attach it to my rock work. I’ve been using a rubber band but it looks like when I put the band is too tight for the coral? Any tips??

I've always used glue. 90% of the time itll hold as long as it's not getting pounded with flow.
