What i normally do is drill a hole big enough to fit the plug, and then epoxy it down so it doesn't wiggle. Anyone else has a better method? Since everytime i do it, i have to drain the water down a bit so the power drill doesn't submerge.

I either find a hole in the rock, cut the "plug" part off so it becomes more of a disc, or I'll use epoxy to create a base and allow the coral to encrust over it.

I use the glue/epoxy method. briefly, put some glue on the frag base, then put some epoxy and then some glue on the outside of the epoxy. The glue helps hold the frag to the epoxy and the epoxy to the rock.

I quit using frag plugs in my display. I take everything off and attach directly to the rocks now. Just part of my pest paranoia phase I'm going through.

^ works so much better than glue or epoxy by themselves

+1
In the vast majority of cases i take the frag off of the plug completely. in the few cases where i can't, i cut the plug down to a bare minimum.
Plugs can carry pests and aren't the most attractive things (especially those from ORA).
