I installed 36 solar panels especially considering where I live in the people's republic of California it costs $0.88/kWh when you hit the upper tier. If it wasn't for my hot tub, the meter would be running backwards.

My dogs would love jumping on them.

It would be nice to have solar to run but here in Florida if you get Solar you must tell the electric company and then they basically run your solar panels but you are the one left to pay the hefty price of the panels. With everything being electric in a almost 1900 sq ft home with an inground pool and the A/C runs 24/7 basically 10 months out of the year the highest electric bill is no more than $265 a month. I have a 125 gallon reef tank with a fox face, convict tang, 2 damsels, 2 chromis, lawnmower blenny and 5 soft corals. so I really do not think that is bad at all.

11.47kW, 37 panel solar array on the roof, grid tied net metering
