I'm curious to see what steps to clean & sanitize your skin everyone takes when you must get into your tank for maintenance, placing &/or moving corals, or any other reason.

What specific soaps or sanitizers do you use? Any specific types or brands that anyone avoids or has had issues with?

If I hadn't thought about it ahead of time I just rinse with tap water.

If my hands touch anything in my QT room, I make a conscious effort to not touch the DT for hours afterwards.

Plain old dawn dish soap.

I'm not getting lazy at work, I just don't want to touch diesel and then come home and try to wash it off my hands again enough to not worry about putting them in the tank.

I rub my hands with SPF70 sun tanning lotion and then spray my hands with DEET bug repellent on FRAG NITE

That's how a day in the swamp inspecting electrical towers starts.

No hands in the tank tomorrow...

Normally just water unless my hands got really nasty from work, auto mechanic. Then i will use dish soap, hot water, rinse really well then dry really well. BRS sells a reef safe soap that I may purchase.
