how do you clean your kalk reactor

want an idea, i usually dump kalk in my kalk reactor about 1 cup every 2-3 weeks, after about 2-3 months, i usually dump all the unused excess kalk down the drain. how does anyone else do this?

also is that excess kalk bad for my drain?

I havn't had to clean mines yet. I usually let all the kalk depletes before I put more in so I don't really get any excess.

Vinegar should clean it up. I wouldn't put the kalk down my drain. It could cause a clog pretty easy.

mine never depletes, it does change color to a off white. i thought that that stuff never depletes?

mine depletes fairly rapidly (brs brand kalk). i take it outside every 3 or 4 mths and hose it out, dry it, then refill it and put it back online.

Something is wrong then unless you have very little evaporation and a ton of kalkwasser in your reactor.

sorry i mean it does deplete, however not all of it, i guess the residual is let over?
do you guys and gals just add more on top of the residual? or clean it out all the time?
