Anyone have any pics of how they cool their lights? Specifically in a canopy

Well anything with a canopy. Every light would need cooling if its in a canopy for 10 hours. I just want to see what people have. I think I'll be installing a blower type system that connects the fan to a hose of some sort that blows air from the cabinet into the back of the canopy

If you look just below the reflector you can see a fan on either side of the Halide. Keeps the overheating down to nothing.

When I ran my metal halide/PC combo in a wooden canopy, I cut a hole in either end of the canopy and mounted a 4" computer fan on the inside of each hole. I then put a cover on the outside for looks. This worked well and was relatively inexpensive. I'm running LED now and there is no heat to worry about.

You don't worry about the LEDs in the canopy? Mine can get pretty warm. And the 4" fan, was that just mounted in the canopy to a hole going out. Or mounted from the outside?

I made my canopy and did the front and both ends with light weight fabric so heat and air could flow in and out with ordinary house airflow (I'm in SW Florida and we run A/C a lot and use ceiling fans in every room). That was when I had 1300W of MH, t5 and leds in it. Now that I have switched to all leds, it isn't an issue at all. And I like the fact that my canopy looks different than almost everybody else's. I'm not a big fan of following the crowd. This is an old photo, but you get the idea.

Sredzins, sorry I was not clear. I do not have the wooden canopy anymore. I made pair of hanging arms and mount the LEDs to those via cable.

I cut my wooden canopy yesterday and intaslled this fan. Works great. But I didn't think about being able to open the glass cover to feed them. Any ideas?

Two 120mm Vantec Stealth fans, both blowing in with equal sized holes in the roof of the totally enclosed canopy for hot air to escape. Powered by a DC variable voltage wall wart so the speed can be varied according to the cooling needs and noise.

I have since converted from the MH and VHO to AI Sol Blue LED's in the same canopy but still have the fans just in case.
