How do you get high PH under control

I Have a new PH probe that I calibrated. My tank is fairly new Red Sea Reefer 200XL.

No dosing yet right now its fish only

Setup in May mostly transfer from my old tank so not new new.

That big dip you see is a water change.

I had a reefer 350 for 6 years and high PH in that as well.

Test error is most likely.

Aerated seawater is never too high in pH, unless the aeration is inadequate.

I did order an external PH probe to double check the Apex probe I have in my sump.

What brand of pH probe did you get - Neptune Systems, BRS, Pinpoint, etc? My two old Neptune Systems were showing very high pH (9-10+). I got two brand new ones and they both were showing different results (one at 8.5 and the other one at 7.5). I gave up after this -- I ended up not chasing pH on my second tank. YMMV but I've found that pH probes are very unreliable. If you're not dosing anything, it's unlikely your pH is that high so I would get another opinion (another device, LFS, a friend) and compare. No this tank has no refugium at all yet. Just some marine pure
