So how do you guys clean your water testing tubes/vials/cuvettes? How do you make sure all the chemical is out of the vials/cuvettes/tubes?

I am buying my RO from the LFS (for now anyway) so I’ve been rinsing 3x in tap water and then giving everything a final rinse in a bowl of RO. Following this thread as I fear maybe all RO is a better way to go.

I clean them with ro/di water. As far as my vials go, i clean them with ro/di water and store them with ro/di water in them.
So do you bath them in a container with RO/DI water? I normally use a syringe with RO/DI water in a 21 gauge blunt needle to clean it.

I read a few post on here and ppl stated that you don't want to use tap b/c of the deposit that can eventually give you a false reading. But, TBH how much can it really kick the reading off ?!?

If it's a vial i fill it up with ro/di water and shake...pour out the ro/di water and then fill and place cap and store this way. Pippettes and tubes i fill with ro/di water several times and rinse and then air dry.

After testing just tap water, before I test I rinse with rodi or tank water depending on what I’m testing.
Deionized water for the calcium test

My thoughts too...I have one kit that says use tap water and another that says never use tap water.

I always rinse in tank water before a test anyway.

I’m trying to reduce the amount of RODI water I use as it’s getting silly, frozen food, rinsing equipment and tests it’s getting to be as much as I make for water changes.
