whot do you guys do to keep your sand bed clean and free of clogging? or do you just leave your sand be!

Ask because mine just gets brown/green fine dust on top if don't do a water change every week!

Remove it and go bare bottom... its much easier to see all the dirt/detritus and get it out... If you keep the sand, you will need a sand sifting clean up crew. Gobies are good and so are some snails that bury in the sand. You need to siphon the sand more often and or turkey bast the sand bed and get dirt/detrius into the water column and removed via water changes and running a skimmer.

Once you have a solid population of spaghetti worms they do a heck of a job keeping everything clean. I also got a really strong Clean up crew from Reef Cleaners. They have packages and are correctly sized! Robert is one heck of a guy over there! I have a 75 Gallon and couldn't be happier compared to my last tank this one is sparkling clean!

Is there a Gobie that don't spit so much sand over corals you can buy

I’m not sure why folks worry so much about it. Generally, if you don’t have algae, and your parameters are ok, so what? Ditritus helps keep some nutrients in the water, which you need.

I mean, the amount of sand they spit is the amount of sand they sift..... So the answer is sure, a shrimp goby, but it won’t do much with your sand bed.

about sand sifting stars?

iv got 2 conch in my tank whot move around but think tanks to big for just 2 conch

Got 2 yellowhead sleeper gobies and several conchs....can they make a mess everyone in a while yes but they are also very entertaining so I put up with it. Only issue is that I can't have corals on the sand bed

I have a couple goby, nassarius and 3 fighting conches. The conches are the best!

I have nassaurus snails and a big fighting conch mainly.

Won't work if you have sand sleeping wrasses. They really need the sand to be healthy and happy.
