Other then using a chiller what do you do to get your tank temperature down when the weather gets hot? Not hot enough to put my ac in yet and cant afford a chiller. Tricks and tips please.

fans, blow the heat from your lighting away before it has a chance to affect your water temp.

I have a fan on my sump as well as 3 fans in the canopy to cool off the lights.

However, I have installed my AC in the house and depending on house temp and outside temp I will run it if needed, but prefer to just open the windows up.

80 isnt bad....reefs get up in the 90s in the wild. The key is stability pick a temp and stick to with it. Fans are a great way and if you get a controller you can hook a temp probe to your fans so they only come on as needed. I run my tank at 81-82 year around :)

hmmm thats unfortunate... Im glad mine didnt melt when my heater got stuck on and temp went to 89

my buddies frog spawn melted at 86. I love my frog spawn/ancor cross and really down want it to melt.
