How do you mix your new saltwater?

I mixed up 15 gallons of RO water and Red Sea last night and tested 30 minutes later

1.025 salinity
7.7 dKh
360 Calcium
1300 magnesium

Then 12 hours later I tested again. Mind you the bucket had a pump and a heater in it both running to maintain the temp at 78 degrees and to circulate the water.

Same results. Spot on!

Time for me to do a WC now.

I'm pushing the limits on this and trying to run mine between 8.5-9.0 as I see the best growth on my SPS with a higher ALK that what I was originally running (7.5-8.0)

I like to think that anything between 8-9dkh is perfect. You have room to wiggle either way.

On a big change...15 gallons. I drain from my RO bin to the mixing bin. Add salt, pump, powerhead, and heater. Mix until I can see the bottom.

Really want to add a drain to both bins but I'm not sure the best way to do it.
