How do you rinse your media?

I recently bought a couple in-sump mounted media reactors and wondering how y'all rinse your media without removing the reactors and using a bucket or something.

I'm thinking a filer bag and rinsing under tap water (my tap is very clean).

Does it need to be rinsed in salt water?

No, it does not need to be rinsed in salt water. I rinse mine with rodi water.

Mesh filter socks and RO/DI water. Or a colander/strainer and RO/DI water; for this the colander is dedicated for aquarium use.
