Hello,

I have 2 MP 40s and 2 MP 60s on my 180 gallon, one on each side. Currently I just have all running reef crest mode. Im trying to get a feel for what everyone else finds to be good settings for this configuration. I know this is a very opinion based question but im just looking for some ideas on what to do.

System is mostly SPS with some LPS on the bottom.

Thanks!

I run 2 mp40s on an 80 gallon (48x24x16) in the front. One on each side pointed right at each other on alternating reef crest at about 20%. my tank Is also mainly sps. This provides plenty of flow for me. I sometimes think I could get away with mp10s lol

Im running 2 mp40 on my 40 gallon on back wall at 40% on lagoon random mode

I run 4x MP40s on my 180 bare bottom. I have 2 on each side and 2 on the rear. I used Ecotechs Coral Lab / WWC recommendation where you alternate between RC/Constant. When left side is on constant right side is on reef crest. Flow has worked wonders with no detritus settling.

what intensity do you run them at? Also do you use the apex wxm to control them?

I run that configuration in my 240. I have the 40s in one pump group and the 60s in a second. The second pump is in anti sync. I have them in short pulse mode. I sometimes run to 40s in reef crest mode.
Here it is this morning.
Time to feed the fish.

One MP40 on a 120G mounted on a sidewall. Running gyre mode at 20 min intervals. Keep in mind my tank is less than one year old, and just starting to add softies and LPS

I was running 2 X MP60's on my 160G (24 X 24 X 66) on the opposite end of my returns. This was ultimately too much flow and now I run a single at 80% in Nutrient Export mode 24/7. The SPS across the tank appreciated the flow pattern this created better than running both. I attribute this to the tank shape and my limited placement options due to the large overflow box on one of the short sides.

Strange i run 2 MP40s on my 75 gallon at %60 with sand and its perfectly fine, i guess aquascapes really affect how high you can run it.

I’m running two mp40’s and an mp60. Mp40 on left side and back on anti sync of the mp60. Mp60 on right side. I have them on 10 second pulse at 80%. The one on the back of the tank is on 30%. Tank is 60”x18”x24”tall. With a huge over flow in the middle. Flow is a nightmare in this tank because of the overflow.

4 MP40s with Reeflink, SPS dominant tank. Mostly frags at the moment only 5mo old

Top looking down. The pumps are staggered. meaning Lt Front is 11 inches from bottom, the left back is 16" from bottom. The right side is the opposite. This has allot to do with my aquascape and bare bottom tank.
