How do you set up your Gyre?

How do you all set up your Maxspect/Icecap Gyres? Since I have a decent amount of rockwork concentrated in the middle, I'm thinking of putting it vertically in the corner, and having a small powerhead on top for surface agitation.

How do you all set up your Maxspect/Icecap Gyres?

I've got my two 150's about 5" from the surface, horizontally mounted. One on each side of the tank, I use the IceCap interface module to control them with my Apex. The flow pattern is the one designed by Ryan@BRS for the BRS 160 (see here). I've capped them at 75% power instead of 100%, however.

Sounds like with your "island in the middle" scenario, the vertical mounting would be a good fit.
