How do YOU stack up when it comes to growing coral? Let's compare!

The wonderful thing about this question is that i really never thought to track growth. I've been to concerned about keeping them alive and not letting algae take over...low bar, I know

Here is 1 year growth on a purple stag and digi.
My green slimer based out for 1 year and is now taking off.
Really depends on the coral.
I had a tri color, elkhorn monti, and wild tenuis that I removed because they grew to fast, like a weed, in a years time.

The coral decorations in my FO are dead, so no growth !

Acropora: not much growth but good color. From what I'm seeing my sticks range from 1mm per month to 7mm per month.

Montipora: 2mm per month

Zoanthids: very little growth.

Mushrooms: No growth yet. Oddly enough.

Euphyllia: don't have

Leathers: I wouldn't put these in my tank.

DISCLAIMER: This will not be scientific in any way but will rely on honest answers!

Yesterday I was thinking about coral growth and how one reefer might grow a certain type of coral faster than another. Nothing to be ashamed of as some people just have a "blue thumb" if you will. Additionally some people have all the right pieces of equipment in place or have been keeping reef tanks a lot longer. But just for the fun of it, let's compare notes!

How fast or slow do these corals grow for you in a 6 month average?

This was 6 months growth on a tank I had in 2008!

What system did you use to administer calcium? 2 part, lime water, calcium reactor...?

Everything grows really slow for Me got all good equipment but everything grows slow or not at all I have a 75 gallon tank 4 foot long these are from today

Any tips/tricks to have faster coral growth?

In addition to steady temp, steady salinity, and alkalinity:
a) Old live rock
b) Always available NO3 (10+) and PO4 (.1+)
c) Random or alternating flow that is heavy
d) Smooth light coverage
e) Frequent flying fish turds

Coral growth rates are in my experience somewhat random. Case in point. I acquired two candy candy frags at the same time, same size, put in the same tank, same depth, next to each other so under same lighting unit, same feeding rate. One went from 6 polyps to 11. One went from about 6 to now about 50. So, yeah.

I've been feeling pretty average. I went from a 40 breeder in an environment where it was hard to keep anything consistent for about 7 months. I moved into a 200 DD which has been awesome but I'm in the New tank syndrome and I'm just wishing things could mature faster XD. For now, ill settle with keeping things alive as the new dry rock and everything matures!
