As the title says.

I just got a Tunze strong care magnet for my new Aquarium (see my build thread) and I'm asking my self how to store it properly.

Do you keep it on the glass or do you remove it and store it somewhere.

And if you remove it do you store both sides together or separately?

While it may be best practice to store the glass cleaner dry when you’re not using it, I suspect the vast majority of reefers leave the magnet cleaner on the glass in an unobtrusive area of the tank when not in use. If you want to store it, just remove the two parts carefully (make sure they don’t snap together), dry the parts, put something in between them, or store separately.

Yep, that’s me.

I store mine separately.

BTW, if you haven’t yet, grab a Tunze Care Booster. I got one a few weeks ago when they became available. It allows the wetside scraper to float and I can scrape different panes of glass without having to get my hands wet. Fixed the one complaint I had about the Tunze Care scrapers.

Wow thanks I never had seen that one! I need it :)

I take my scraper (not a Tunze but a mag scraper non the less) out the tank and let the wet side dry on top the overflow and I attach the dry side to the inside of my metal stand

THANK YOU! I didn't even know they made this. That just solved my only complaint about it. I'll be ordering one today.
+1 for plywood but I glued some felt to it to soften it.

I've found a simple solution. I have a 1/2" thick shelf in the cupboard where I store my fish tools, like test kits, tweezers and cups. I let them dry and put the scraper on the bottom of the shelf and the magnet on the top.

Does the tunze strong magnet blade rust in sw? If yes then I'll store outside I guess
