how do you suggest moving a tank?

we are getting new floors...and I am trying to figure out the best way of doing this. anyone have some great advice? the thought makes me want to cry! appreciate any help

it's a 75 gallon. not a huge one, but big enough

Oh boy, it would seem were in the same boat lol. We want to rip out the carpet in our living room and do hard wood flooring. My plan was to utilize storage totes. Empty as much water as I can and move coral rock and fish to the totes, then the tank and stand would be light enough for me and a couple buddies of mine to lift up out of the way, get the flooring done in that spot and then put it back, fill it up and transfer back over and continue with the rest of the living room.
Definitely have spare pumps for the storage totes to keep water moving.

yeah, that sounds like what I'll probably do. I guess I should thank my stars that I don't have one of those big gorgeous tanks right now! lol.
thanks. was just thinking maybe there was a better way, a faster way, but that's probably wishful thinking. I may buy a large plastic garbage can, and put my water in that. we don't have an RO/DI unit, we buy from our fish store, and hour a way. so....yeah.
