I am currently using Salifert, but wondering what other users use and if anyone is using electronic equipment and your experience with it. ?

I use the Hanna tester. I love it. It's super easy. I also have a salifert and seachem test kit. They all show the same results. I just like the Hanna because of convenience.

It got to be with my latest refills on the Red Sea Coral Pro Alk test that I could not easily tell what the readings were. I went to the Hanna, (for PO4, Alk, & CA) and am very happy. Broke, but very happy.

I've switched as well to the Hana with my most recent order. Only used a couple if times, but so far love it.

+1 for the Hanna Checker. Very easy to use.

Hanna for me too. I used to use the API and I get consistent results with it too. The Hanna reads about 1dkh lower than the API.

API here but I am starting to doubt the numbers as even dosing the max I am supposed to per day it doesn't get above 7... Odd, but I have a RSP kit now so I'll try that one tonight.

I test daily with lamotte. Been using this kit for years now. similar to salifert but what I like about the lamotte is that instead of a liquid reagent they use pressed pills. They are not always the exact same thickness but I always felt that was a more accurate means. A plus is also that you can get refill kits that are a little less than the salifert kits.

I thought about getting the hanna but haven't really felt the need to pick one up yet.

Hanna Alk Checker and Salifert

Hanna ALK checker is top notch. Accurate and the refill reagent is like $9 from BRS

Salifert. Alk has been low. Was using a Kent's liquid buffer for two weeks and it wouldn't come up. Just bought the Kent's super buffer dkh and it came right up. Tossing the liquid one. Might be old or something.

Slow your roll..

I use rsp but I would like to know more about the Hanna. I've heard mixed reviews. Sounds like a lot use it but still test with other kits anyway.

I use Elos and like to test about once a week. That is really the only thing I test weekly. Mg I'll test every few months along with calc. I figure if my alk is steady the corals will tell me if something else is out of whack.
