How do you test your water?

Might seem like a silly question. Every time I test my water I fill the small bottles with water from the tank as I go but can you take out a cup of water from the tank and use that as you’re testing the water or is that a bad idea?

I fill a 500ml beaker about 1/2 way. Then its off to the kitchen counter to run my tests

Yes, you can fill up a container and take it to a better place to run tests. Just make sure to wash it out after so nothing builds up, if you have RO to rinse it with that's even better!
