How does a doser work?

Hello, i have a reefdose 4, and i understand how to connect it and turn it on, but i do not understand how it works. I mean I do not understand how many drops to do, and how often, and stuff like that. Any good youtube videos on this topic?

What are you dosing and why?

The amount you need to dose depends on what additives you are using and what corrections you are trying to make (and the size of your tank).

There are various online calculators (on the BRS website and this one http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html) that can give you an idea of how much to use, but you need to work out what you are trying to achieve first.
