How does one feed a bubble tip anemone?

I got my first bta and what is the best way to feed and how often?
I have four. I feed a piece of table shrimp (cut to no bigger than oral disk) every other day. Feeding it makes it grow faster. So, however fast and big you want it feed it accordingly.

I've kept BTA's for about 13 years now and never have fed them, they get what they need when I feed the tank.

When I feed frozen, I use a turkey baster and gently squeeze some frozen into the nems tentacles.

Mine ger what they need when I feed. I don't see a major need to directly feed them unless you want them massive quickly

As others said our feedings I mentioned above are also from feeding the whole system. It catches some and the lightning marroon clown brings bigger pieces to the nem feeding it.

If you have fish in the system and feed them well, you probably don't need or want to feed the BTA directly - it will do just fine with the leftovers and fish waste...

A couple of reason's you don't want to feed the BTA large items directly:

BTAs tend to spit out large undigested items after they've been captured an ingested fouling the tank.
BTAs can retract for extended periods after feeding.
You may find that your BTA gets too large and can be a "big" problem in a reef.

I currently have about 40 saucer sized red and green BTAs in my system - starting with about 10 nickel sized eight months ago. I never feed them directly.

The last time I fed any BTA was in a 115g system where the BTA took over about a third of the system erodong all coral colonies adjacent to it. It became quite a challenge.

Feed them if you want, but it isn't necessary and will tend to do more harm than good. The one below got to 18"-20" inches.

I want to thank everyone for there suggestions I think I will direct feed once a week and the rest of time let it get left overs when i feed the tank.

My bubble tip keeps moving and hiding into the rocks is this normal and will he come out on his own?

What size tank?
What lights do you have?
What lights was it under?
What do you have for flow?
What are your current water parameters --- with numbers please.
How long has your tank been set up?

^^ that's a lot of questions but helpful for a detailed answer.

However I would say don't worry about it if the rest of your tank is doing ok. Anemones are incredibly hardy, and they can hide from time to time.

29 gallon bio cube t5 and LEDs tank is 4 months old my coral and fish r doing great . Have circulation fan and return for flow temp 77.8 my aquarium store said all water parameters r great according to them they would not sell it to me until I brought them a water sample
