How does this happen?

As you can see in the picture, this snail has a baby Yuma on the back of his shell. How does this attach so quickly to a moving snail when I can't even attach it to my rocks? One day it was on the same rock as the momma, then it detached and blew away. I figured I'd never see it again, then I see this snail cruising the tank with my roaming baby Yuma. Crazy :tongue:

That's very awesome!!!! I know its probably not the case but in the ocean there is a crustacean that will attach a stinging anenomes too it's shell to protect itself and this reminded me of it. Only I can remember what crustacean it is but you can watch on YouTube I bet !!!!! Random sorry I don't know why but that's a great example of a symbiotic relationship..
 
That is cool! Pom pom crabs are the ones that hold little anemones in there hands I recently added one to my cube there awesome
