Bought this torch from a local coral shop, now is it just me or does it seem longer and richer in color? Could just be my eyes. (Lights were off at the time of both pictures)

But on another note; someone gifted me a frammer/hammer because he said it wasn’t doing too hot in his tank and that he didn’t know why. I was also very curious as to why, everything else in his tank looked great but the hammer. It in itself looked pretty bad and has almost a like bubbles appearance, and now recently it’s starting to have its hammer shape. That also led me to believe my tank was ready for SOME euphyllia hence I got the torch over the weekend.

Does this seem to be on the right track?

Should I tilt the hammer more? On its side?
I’m hoping to grow another head.

1st pic is the first day I got the torch, 2nd is 3 days after.

3rd pic is of the hammer I got gifted the 1 day and 4th pic is 26 days in my tank.

Agree. Things look fine. When you first initiate a coral to your aquarium, especially torches. They will usually not be fully out on the first day. As they settle in and get used to new parms, light, flow, etc. They will come out more the next few days etc. This is expected.

Maybe that is what you are seeing when the lights are on and somewhat with lights off as it's not retracted as much in the skeleton.

Nice piece. Enjoy it. Looks like tank is young, so keep an eye on things.
