How far can Diamonds Jump?

Guess Im not meant to have a diamond goby. First one jumped the day I got it before I could put my screen top back on and didn't notice. Second one Ive had for over 2 weeks, he was never out could just see him in his cave. Came down this morning and found him two foot in front of my tank. No idea how he got out, the only gaps on my screen top are two small openings in the back where light mounts go.

When I had a diamond I had to keep filter floss in EVERY small hole around the screen top. Found him on the floor twice and was baffled by how he could jump thru a 1" hole in the screen where my HOB was. The new tank does not have a diamond goby in it just for this reason.

I've had the same issues.. he's jumping thru the mesh.
