How far can I go?

Although low nitrate and phosphate is not ideal, in my experience softies are just not going to grow very much. In my current tank I have over 50 softies and have had a problem with very low phosphates and nitrates because I don't have any fish in there. Everything seems happy and growing, just not very fast (except the GSP. I wish that stuff would just stop!). I have had to start dosing the tank to get nitrates up

Thanks again. Don't know where I got the Nitrate reading from. It's actually somewhere between 2 and 5. I add coral food every day just before dusk.
The lights are 590mm LED, one blue, one white.

It's a comfortable 70° F, cloudy and just a great day for having a beer while watching Netflix in my shed. I hate high humidity. Always ends with a thunderstorm over here. Not serious storms like you have but it clears the air!!

I was also reading the alkalinity incorrectly.
It's actually 8. 15 polyps showing on the GSP now it's in a new home.

They hungry. Get your nitrates and phosphates up. Especially if you are running high alk.

Thanks again for the replies. I have been putting coral food into the flow every evening before moonlight switches on.
The flow is provided by 2 interactive powerheads . Do zoas require a high flow rate?
I only ask because about half of the polyps have completely disappeared from the orange one and I can't figure out why.

All the corals you mentioned would benefit from good flow but if your using some kind of wave maker it should be sufficient. Make sure to keep up with water changes and try to keep everything as stable as possible. Also try spot feeding those zoas.

I've heard about spot feeding before but don't really understand. How and what do I do?
