How fast can you raise calcium?

Not sure how I got here. How many ppm can I raise calcium in a day my alk is 9.5 and my magnesium is 1410. My calcium is abnormally low. It's usually at 450-480, and this morning 210!!!!

I was late, I wouldn't know what would cause it to drop so low. Randy has a calculator, http://reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chem_calc3.html

He recommends on the calc to rais it 1/3 to 1/2 per day. instructions are on the chart.

I didn’t think there was a limit for cal .
But relative to alkalinity . It’s safe to raise alk .5-1 dkh in 24hr period .

Calm down, I was getting the calculator link for you. It's a terrific tool.

Edit: I'm not randy. But I am sure once he see's this he would have an idea on why calcium dropped. His calculator helped me save my reef in 2006.

Additionally, remember saltwater 101. . . . NOTHING IS FAST WHEN IN REEFING.
Fast = Disaster.
Is there another LFS you could visit for a CA test to see what they come up with? It would be beneficial and then allow you to identify the most trusted source

LFS confirms my Salifert result. Same numbers. And yes about too fast equals disaster. That's why I'm asking for a consensus

No more than 50 ppm per day, but I agree, something isn't adding up. I don't even know if its possible to have a reading that low. What's your ALK at? K, just saw, your Alk is at 9.5 DKH.
