how fast do ur zoas spread(naturally)

ok well i have noticed my zoas grow painfully slow,i mean not even a new polyp and its been almost 3 months anyways how fast are your (on an average cause i know each polyp/colonies is different) thanks alot!

My tank is pretty slow, but it all depends on if the frag has found it's place. Once a colony is set I have seen 3-5 polyps a month. I also have zoas that no matter what, they will put out a polyp once a month, at most!

Lets see, from this in oct last year

To this last week. Keep in mind these have been fragged a ton of times before. I have actually yanked of a ton of polyps tearing them apart to keep them off of my acros!

In the last picture, I have actually given away the original frag about two months before this was taken!

you guys are too funny! Actually, I removed a larges rock that had a ton of em on it the day before yesterday. I threw them into the sump. Last night I scraped every polyp off of the rock and glued them to frag plugs/disks/rubble, and whatever else was laying around. I think I had about ten good frags. I know some of my club members who don't have them, will next meeting

From now on, I will be a kinder gentler zoa keeper :lol:

Don't want to be mean, but I have been seeing about 1-2 pops a month and I just left fr a week and came back 10 new poylps of blue kiss.

i use reef vital DNA to push growth with my corals and i honestly turn 1 head a week on my slowest growing and 3 on the faster ones per week, before i used reef vital DNA i maybe got 2 a month maybe 3
