I was away for 5 days and Alk dropped by 1.5 dKH due to a calcified drip hose. Should I correct in one dose or should I raise it slowly over days?

If making a large adjustment (more than 1.4 dKH) divide the dose up and add to the tank over the course of 1-2 days to avoid dramatic changes in water chemistry.

One should never raise ALK more then 1DKH in 24 hours, or so they claim.

I have personally gone as high as 15.dkh in one BOLUS shot without issues. YMMV

EDIT:
Sorry I noticed a typo. Not 15DKH, but 1.5DKH.

I’d dose max 1dkh in 24 hours every day a At the same time long enough to get it to desired level
test every day at the same time after for 5 days to get a daily consumption and dose accordingly .
