In production agriculture, and also in the cat and dog worlds, we have body condition score (bcs) charts with criteria for gauging whether or not an animal is at optimal body condition. Does such a thing exist in the fish world?

I think your best bet is looking at photos taken on natural reefs. Most, if not all, fish are starved in the supply chain getting to your LRS. This is done for economic reasons and for the fish to produce little waste when transported in small bags. I have received fish from on-line vendors so emaciated some did not survive. Dragonets are a perfect example.

I like to see little bulges in their bellies to know they are getting their share. Hope that helps :D
HAHA when I feed fish eggs my clown and 6 line get so full I can see their little belly bulge :D
