Hey guys, just as the title says, how good is seachem reef dip?

I know it's not top-rated or anything but it's cheap and I'm a fan of that!

personally i use Bayer, nice size bottle and you get more for your buck
which bottle of bayer do you use? do yuo use different dosing amounts for different coral?

to answer OP's question: seachem is a reputable brand, but i believe coral RX and reef primer are more effective at what they do compared to that specific dip.

I used it in the beginning and it will definitely tick off some pests, but it also seems to bother the sensitive corals a bit more. Personally, I prefer Brightwell Aquatics MediCoral. Corals will close up will being dipped, but they seem to open up much quicker after MediCoral than some of the other dips I’ve tried.

I use the same amount for all corals i dip before putting in the tank. There are some measurements out there that tell you the amount but i usually put in enough to make the water milky. Bayer is gentle on the corals and i have never had any issues with it..

I've used it. I can't say one dip is better than another. I typically use it on damaged corals as a disinfectant since supposedly iodine based dips are handy for that. Basically the only dip I won't use is bayer lol. I don't care much for carcinogens.

this is more specifically used for SPS, or works for all corals? (soft/lps/sps)
This works on any coral but im mostly sps.
I use 3 grams per liter of tank water.

I used it on 55 frags for a 20 gallon long I put together. Its what I could find local. 6 months later I haven't seen any undesirables in the tank.
