Hey all,
so as the day is winding down at work I decided to do a google search to determine the different types f pods that I have been seeing in my tank. I have been in the hobby for many years and i am used to seeing various amphipods and copepods in my tanks. but I am having trouble narrowing these critters down to a more precise taxonomic level. This question arose when I started seeing what I am thinking is a different type of amphipod than the ones that I am used to.
I am vary familiar with these guys of the genus Gammarus, they have been in everyone of my tanks.

But I have recently been seeing these amphipods in massive quantities in my refugium and would like to to know their genus or even species name to reference them in a more precise manner.

I'm using pics that are not mine to better illustrate, below is a video from my refugium.
