If you don't upgrade to the artisan II plywood stand, the MDF stand I have doesn't want a drop of water near a seam. The piano black is what I had. It is very nice & glossy new. They use the same paint shop as "Now Hear This" in China if you are an audiophile. NHT speakers. Like all stands, don't get it wet.

ahh ok. the MDF soaks up the water. Luckily I have an Artisan II (with solid wood stand) on order, so hopefully I'll have better luck with it. thanks!

My Artisan II 70 has been a great tank and stand. It's been setup for nearly two years now. The included sump and skimmer was junk, but easy enough to upgrade.

Yeah man. I got the same footprint, just a shallow. 12" tall & 40 gallons. I wish I would've clicked the stand upgrade button. I did the bad & overflowed the ato tank. The stand swelled up in hours.
