I always see my aquarium as to being slightly larger than 55 gallons. Today I punched all the "inside tank" dimensions into a tank calculator and my tank could hold 65 gallons which is leaving 1" between water level and rim or 60 gallons leaving 2" from rim. How high is your water from the rim?

I do it all the time. My question did you figure for total water volume minus the rock?

I did not calculate the water volume minus rock, but I'm just curious to know if this is a 65 gallon tank

Can't vouch for rimless but I like to keep my water at a hair or so below the black plastic rim. Lets me know my ato is doing its job and I can have surface ripple with out over splash.
