How high?

Hi there,
I just upgraded from a TEK 4 bulb to a 6 bulb 39 watt T5 fixture. How high should it be hung above my tank. Its a 40 breeder. Thanks!

What type of corals do you have? I would probably start it around 10-12 inches and move it down after seeing how everything responds. I run my 8 bulb about 6inches above the glass but always move it up or run half the lights when adding new coral.
Also, how high was your other lamp ?

I had my 4 bulb at 6 inches. And started off the 6 bulb at 8 inches.

I agree, start higher and slowly move it down and just keep an eye on your corals.
