I would get the larger goose neck or larger tank mount but yeah 8-10” is good !

8” but get a diffuser from 3D reefing and crank it up to a higher power setting

So I put mine at 7in. I’m getting a par meter this thursday so I guess I’ll see what my par reading are and see if I need to move it up or not
