Looking to install a stronger heater in my saltwater mixing station. The mixing station is a food grade PT200L water storage tank.

Wondering if the heater ever touched the walls of the mixing station (floats freely), could it damage the walls?

How hot does an aquarium heater actually get?

Thank you.

Likely you would be fine as convection in the water will dissipate heat fairly quickly. As long as the water is circulating and the heater isn't something massive like a 300W in a 5 gallon bucket you should be fine.

What about 300W Heater in a 25 Gallon water container?

With a reliable thermostat, it will heat water faster and should shut down once desired temperature is reached
