Hey Reefers!
Our tanks all need some type of water flow, but of course it depends on what we keep in them. But regardless if you keep it high, low, or in between, how important do you rate it for your tank?

It's pretty important for my tank right now. The demand for flow by my tank inhabitants is moderate/high.

Without proper flow, my torch would be sad. So I would say it's pretty important

I have a fallow tank rn

Matt this doesn't really make a lot of sense - flow is important to every reef tank. It's vital for organisms with zooxanthellae.
I agree. However, there are those who either don’t know or care about flow as well. Also, some may have a fowlr, or species only tank, where flow is not as demanding as a reef tank. This involves all tanks, not just reefs.

I honestly don't know. I'm told that flow is important for a number of my inhabitants. The problem is that I have no idea if my flow is anywhere near optimal for them. Things seem happy, so I've been leaving it alone.
