I have a couple small Zoa frags and am curious as to how invasive they are.
Will they choke out other corals?
I have mostly Acan's and Euphyllia with a couple of Duncans.
And do Paly's exhibit the same type of characteristics?
Thanks

Id worry more about the palys than the zoas. I could see palys smothering out other coral even zoas.

Depend on how well they grow in ones system.
Old established tanks have ton of zoa where real estate is needed for other corals of interest
Some zoa takes month to produce a baby.

Most aren't very invasive, palys are a bit different, then you have species that are often grouped with palys/zoas like yellow polyps which can be quite invasive.

Those are Pandoras. I started with one polyp. That lonely orange guy in the middle is an utter chaos, and the ones on the left are star lords. Invasive? You tell me. Then again, a weed is simply a plant growing where you don’t want it. The Pandoras are even more beautiful under blue light, but the zoas they’re choking out are much more valuable.

I have Pandora's in my tank too. Grow like a danged weed. They look nice under blue led, but just okay under the 20k MH

Most are fine. Some are horrible. I would stay away from Captain Jerks. They are horrible.

What kind of light do the Zoa's need? The end caps of my reef are bare and get filtered light at best. Thinking of placing them there.

Low to medium light . If they dont have enough light they will grow long stems
