Sorry for the crap drawing, but I could figure out how to best draw this on a computer.

I want to plum my system with a manifold and outlined the plan in the image. The manifold will have a ball valve on the end to close it and it can be opened to allow the sump to cycle water through itself in the event I want to clean it out. Let me know if I’m thinking about this right because the manifold ends have confused me a little on setups I’ve seen.

The 3 gate valves are there to future proof the setup. Right now there is nothing to add to it but I can use it to add a chiller, calcium reactor, UV sterilizer etc to the system later on.

This is for a 125G tank with 55G sump

Looks good. Only major suggestion I have is to remove the gate/ball valve(s) from the emergency drains on your return. You'll never want to close off the secondary nor emergency drain, so having valves only adds expense, another thing to forget to re-open, and a chance (albeit small) of something snagging and clogging up the return. The bean animal system you are using should only have a valve on the primary drain, in other words.

Manifold looks right to me. Basically the same as I've got on mine. I aimed them more "down" than "out" so that they weren't in the way of the sump area.
Note that if you can get away with using 45 angles instead of 90's, you'll get less head loss.
