I saw a gorgeous yellow wall hammer in the shop on Wednesday. It had just come in the day before, on Tuesday. It was looking like this at the shop.

I was so enamoured by it, so I reserved it, and picked it up yesterday.
This is how it looked when I first put it in after temp acclimation and dipping.

And after a few hours, it had expanded slightly.

This morning before the lights came it, it was scary looking with so much exposed skeleton!!

And now after about an hour of lights.

What do you guys think? Is it doing ok? Anything to be concerned about?

Hey,

I would say looking good. It will retract at night. The polyps will pull inside for protection against nipping predators. That’s why you see that outer skeleton. The concern would be if you see skeleton going down into the center and no green. Looks like the zoa or paly (cant tell) behind is opening up too.

tank looks good

Thanks for the reassurances everyone...

Looks like the zoa or paly (cant tell) behind is opening up too.

Good eye! That zoa colony went in the same time...

I also got a new ultra toxic blotchy wall hammer as well. Love it.

how much you paid for that big hammer?
