How long and what intensity should my LEDs be?

So am very new to the hobby , I have had my tank for around 2 months and about 4 weeks ago I got some LEDS and soft corals. I keep them on for 8 hours per day on a timer at 40% white and 80% blue. However I grow loads of hair algae but like loads. Anything I can do to stop them from growing so much? and is my intensity ok?

Not enough info to say, but I run my LEDs at 100%

New tank and nutrients are likely your problem.
